  • Congratulations to Dr. Clay Nielsen

    As a Professor of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, Nielsen was named an Alumni Master by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he completed his B.S. degree in Natural Resources in 1994. This prestigious award is presented to 9 individuals annually from >200,000 living UNL alumni.

  • Congratulations to Morgan Muell

    Muell is the 2020 winner of the Alan Woolf Outstanding M.S. Student Award.

  • Congratulations to Alexander Glass

    Glass is the 2020 winner of the Director's Outstanding Ph.D. Student Award.

  • Congratulations to Wilson Guillory

    Guillory is the 2020 winner of the John L. Roseberry Award for Meritorious Student Publication.

  • Tati Gettelman earns Best Student Poster Presentation

    Tati Gettelman, Zoology M.S. student advised by Dr. Clay Nielsen, poster titled Surgically Implanting River Otters with Intra-Abdominal Radiotransmitters Using Reversible Non-DEA Scheduled Drugs, was named Best Student Poster Presentation at the 2020 Virtual The Wildlife Society Conference.

  • Bri Winkel earns Best Student Poster Presentation

    Bri Winkel, Forestry M.S. student advised by Dr. Clay Nielsen, poster titled Cougar Recolonization of Eastern North America: Habitat Connectivity and Human Dimensions, was named Best Student Poster Presentation at the 80th Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference, Springfield, IL.

  • Tiffanie Atherton takes home Second Place Student Oral Presentation

    Atherton, Zoology Ph.D. student co-advised by Drs. Clay Nielsen and Ed Heist, oral presentation titled Rescued by the Neighbors? The Potential Need for a Genetic Augmentation of Eastern Woodrats in southern Illinois, was named Second Place Student Oral Presentation at the 80th Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference, Springfield, IL.
